Mod_AntiCrack is an Apache webserver module which deters crackers from brute-force guessing username
and password credentials for paths within a website.
The Mod_AntiCrack module supports virtual hosting and per directory configuration. It works in
conjunction with the MySQL database engine.
As users enter your Mod_AntiCrack protected areas, it monitors for unauthorized, denied access. Upon the
user being denied, a counter is incremented for their IP address. As they continue to brute-force their
way in to your systems, they will reach a configurable threshold. At this threshold, the user is always
denied access to the system.
The Mod_AntiCrack module also includes a Perl CGI script, which allows you to manage the MySQL database
table(s) that the Mod_AntiCrack module uses.
